Collana Oi Dialogoi a cura di Gino Fienga
When I arrived in Milan, it was my dream to establish myself in this area, which I fi nd to be one of the most beautiful in Milan, where you can still see the old washing stones and the moorings where the boats were tied. Milan was a city full of canals. Hemingway even talks about that in one of his Fortynine Stories - In Another Country - about moving around the city along canals and bridges.
Arnaldo Pomodoro
The closing of the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro exhibition spaces in Via Solari in Milan was a loss not only for the city, but for culture in general, of a place that had taken an intellectual approach in its community-activity involvement that is even now still quite rare. Thus, We have felt the need to document this moment of time on paper so that the words of Arnaldo Pomodoro and Flaminio Gualdoni will endure and become food for thought and discussion among the public about the potential of contemporary exhibition spaces, as well as the problems they have to face.
